Greeter today was Halyna Stegura, and she did a great job. President Dan Crane rang the bell at 7:30 a.m. We sang the National Anthem, and we said the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag. Then Chuck Ehninger gave a very nice invocation.
Jeff Kistler gave us an update on our friend, Mike Henry. Mike is at the Laurel Center Nursing facility near Cabela’s. The address is 125 Holly Road – Hamburg, PA 19526 Please keep Mike and AJ in your thoughts and prayers.

GUESTS:
We had the Student of the Month, Cameron Smith along with his parents. Also, Ryan Van Norman from the Slatington club who is doing an internship with LCTI. Shirley Randall was also in attendance.
STUDENT of the MONTH:
Rev. Jeff Kistler honored Cameron Smith as the AWRC Student of the Month of from LCTI. Cameron’s home school is Catasauqua and he is a Senior. Cameron is very active with the historical society and promotes full days at LCTI. He is also very interested in Rotary.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Remember that Mr. Senghi will be speaking at the Thursday Evening Meeting. He will also speak to the Morning Meeting next week.
TODAYS PROGRAM
We had Dr. Bruce Nicholson do a presentation on Medical Marijuana today which was very informative. He presented many facts as well as the history as it pertains to getting Medical Marijuana Act 16 passed. He talked about opioid abuse and number of deaths due to the abuse as well as how the use of medical marijuana has been effective in reducing the number of opioid related deaths. He will be sending his presentation to Jeanne Shipe for anyone who is interested in viewing the Power Point presentation.
Because our speaker had to leave earlier than expected, we did not go through the photos from last week which included many from TT3. We will view those next week.
Ihor asked for an update on TT3 and Gwenn told us that unofficially we are over the $30,000 mark!!!!
President Dan asks that we remember Rotarian Arch Klumph who actually started the RI Foundation with a donation of $26.5 almost 100 years ago. During this Rotary year each of us is asked to donate at least $26.50 to the RI Foundation. Our replica of Arch is available to join these donors at breakfast.
LUCK of the DRAW:
Today’s door prize donated by Halyna was won by Dan Crane.
Then Wendy Weaver’s ticket was drawn and she was unsuccessful in drawing the black marble. We also had a few leftover items from TT3…..Donna B won the necklace and Al Lewis won the Rotary Spoon.
FINES:
S-a-A Don Davis fined Gil Keller for not having his pin and Mike G for not wearing a tux at TT3.
HAPPY DOLLARS:
Everyone gave a Happy Dollar for Gwenn and Gary for a very successful TT3.
