Our Greeter today was Donna Beach and she did a marvelous job.
President Dan Crane rang the bell at 7:30 a.m. Chuck Ehninger gave a very nice invocation including special mention of Dawn Costello and Vernon Fenstermaker.
Today we sang the National Anthem with a faster pace as we watched a new video. Then we said the Pledge of Allegiance.
President Dan says that the word from the country is from William Butler Yates: “There are no strangers here; only friends that you haven’t met.”

Ryan Smith, guest of Dan Crane; Andy Fink, guest of the club: Meauve and Fiona, granddaughters of Gwenn and Gary; Dana Gschwendtner, Mike’s wife; and Interact students from Parkland High School.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
President Dan showed slides of the breakfast with Gloria Zimmerman and Arch Klumph. Photos of Marti and Ellie followed, and then of Bob Nagle and Don Christ who received the Service Award last week. Then we saw some old slides of Ontelaunee Park.
President Dan reminds us to refer to the Activities list that he e-mailed to us for volunteering opportunities and contact information.

There is a Rotary cruise for 7 days to do service projects in March. See separate article.
The Allentown RC would like some visitors at their Jan 6th meeting at Hook restaurant where Don Cunningham is the speaker.
NEXT WEEK our Greeter will be Chris Blechschmidt and our program will be Rotarian Loretta Ottinger and saving money with Solar energy.
LUCK of the DRAW:
Today we had 3 door prizes. Donna’s was won by Halyna Stegura. Dottie Bloom’s was won by Marlene Ritter, and the third was a magnetic Rotary pin won by Wendy Weaver.
Then Mike Gschwendtner’s ticket was drawn and he selected a white marble from among 8 and did not win the $88 in the 50:50 pot.
FINES:
S-a-A Don Davis fined Ginny Sandoval, Marlene and Herb for no Rotary pin. And he fined Dorothy Bloom for leaving early.
HAPPY DOLLARS:
Gary Englehardt extolled the wisdom of his granddaughter who observed how unusual it seemed that “old people” would get up so early for Rotary meetings.
Sue Weber gave a hearty welcome to our Interact Students.
Wendy Weaver is happy that she now is hosting Marti our Y.E. student who moved in easily.
Bill Palmer and his two sons went bowling again on Christmas Eve day for the 46th consecutive year. Bill did bowl a game and had 2 strikes.
Ginny is happy that our guests Ryan and Andy were with us today.
Mitch Huston noted the untimely passing of Carrie Fisher. And he is happy that the Giants won the playoffs.
Ginny noted that Arch Klumph failed to join her at breakfast this morning as promised. Arch appeared a minute later.
Ernie Boll noted that he does not approve of chocolate bits in his pancakes.
PROGRAM:
Tooday’s program was President Dan Crane’s Holiday Breakfast Fellowship meeting. We all kept milling around and talking until 8:30 a.m.
