FOOD ALERT:
Today we had a selection of delicious snack food from Wegmans supplied by Gary Englehardt. Thanks, Gary.
President Dan showed many slides of photographs from our Fellowship meeting last week, which members really enjoyed.
Dan showed pics of Gloria and her NWL Snack Packing crew including Dale Hostetter.
Dan mentioned that we are close to establishing a Rotary Community Corps to more formally handle the NWL snack packing.

Our next THURSDAY EVENING event is a Mixer on April 13th at the 1760 House Pub ~n~ Grille, Trexlertown from 5:30-7:00PM. Please bring some candidates for membership.
Friday is volunteering at Kingdom of Life Food Pantry.
April 8th Dennis Houser is leading a work detail in Ontelaunee Park. We need more workers ! Please contact Dennis.
April 23rd is TEMPTING TASTES 3 at the Holiday Inn.
April 29th is the Parkland Community Resource day and Ray Stock needs volunteers to staff the info table.
The annual Engineers Without Borders fundraiser is on April 30th.at DeSales University. AW Rotarians are supporters of EWB.
May 6 Farm Fest at Ontelaunee Park. We need some volunteers to work a booth that day. Hours are from 10:30-6:30. If you can work the early set-up or a morning or afternoon shift please contact Ginny Sandoval.
Dennis Houser on May 20th will lead a work group at the Rodale Cycling Center..
AND, of course, you always can have your breakfast at our meetings sitting with Arch Klumph for a donation of $26.50 --- or more --- to the Rotary Foundation.
ANOTHER OFFSITE MEETING:
Our regular Wednesday morning meeting on April 19th will be held at the Northwestern SD. Details will follow.
NEXT WEEK our Greeter will be Len Salines. The program will be David Fink, Heidel Hollow Farm, Germansville, PA about Value Added Agricultural Processes.
LUCK of the DRAW:
The door prize bottle of wine donated by Chuck Ehninger was won by Ray Stock..
Then Dale Hostetter’s ticket was drawn AGAIN and he selected a white marble and did not win the $128 pot of the 50:50. Only 3 marbles remain.
FINES:
S-a-A Don Davis fined someone for no pin and Joe Goll for coming late. And he fined Ron Coleman for wearing a hat during the meeting.
HAPPY DOLLARS:

Ralph Witcher is happy to learn that only 3 marbles remain in the 50:50 bag.
Jeanne Shipe is triply happy. She has just celebrated 3 years as a Rotarian. Last Saturday she attended the Rotary Leadership Institute in Media and recommends others do it too. And she recommends we attend a talk by Ellen Goodman on April 19th at 7:30 PM at Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem. This Pulitzer Prize Winning journalist and founder of The Conversation Project talks on “The Most Important Conversation America Isn't Having,” ...
Halyna Stegura’s daughter, Christina, on April 1st left Washington, DC on her bicycle for a trip SOLO across the U.S. by way of ST. Augustine, FL and ending in CA. to attend a wedding. She is on her own with no following crew, and carries what she needs on the bike with her. Halyna would appreciate our prayers for Christina’s safety.
Ron Coleman is happy that he joined Rotary. He is pleased with all of the good things that Rotarians do. And he tells his friends.
Joe Goll is happy that he and Peggy next week are going to visit their son and daughter-in-law in Athens Greece. They will visit Venice as well.
Ralph Witcher is happy to report that his oldest son, Seth, has been accepted into Drexel, and is waiting to hear from Lehigh. Seth wants to study Robotic Engineering.
Dan Crane is happy that he made it through this meeting and it only cost him $5.
PROGRAM:
Our program today was the dynamic duo of Gwenn Carr and Gary Englehardt providing us with an update of the Tempting Tastes 3 plans. Gary began by reminding us all about the many good projects we do because of the funds raised by Tempting Tastes 2 last year. He mentioned the grants, Youth Exchange, Snack Packs, etc.
Gary says that the good news is that we have 16 Food Partners scheduled for the event; there were 10 last year. The bad news is that ticket sales are too low and we need more sponsors.
Now we need members to:
1-Purchase your admission at www.temptingtastes.net or provide your check to Dale Hostetter
2-Donate $25 to sponsor an Interact student to come work the event.
3-Consider being a Sponsor for the event or ask a business you support to be a Sponsor
Volunteers are needed to work at the event,
Gwenn said that we have fabulous gifts included in our Live Auction including Getaways, a propane grill and a chance to have the Blue Mountain Winery deck for an afternoon. She showed slides of the 10 Live Auction items and gave their details.

There now are 150 items in the Silent Auction. These will be right outside the main room as they were last year. And the TT3 Team did a walk-through tour of the Holiday Inn last week to finish the plans.
