The Greeter this morning was Dottie Bloom and she did a very good job. Michaela helped and Herb did too.

Our next Thursday evening meeting is the January 14th Networking Mixer at Wegmans in the Timber Room starting at 5:30 P.M. The format will be different from the prior mixer. Please sign up if you will attend.

The Jan 2nd work at the Lowhill Food Pantry needs one volunteer.
Jan 6th is Snack Packing at NWL HS; then we switch to the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays in support of the increase to weekly distribution.

Jan 8th is the next TT2 committee meeting.
The ShelterBox campaign is about over -- for now.
President Herb asks us all to e-mail him about any announcements to be made at future meetings so he can include them as part of his planned agenda.

ROTARIAN of the WEEK:
The AW “Rotarian of the Week” is Jeanne Shipe who is a Financial Educator with a background in Financial Planning and Insurance. She joined Rotary in 2014 after 10 years of encouragement from Geoff Legg. Jeanne manages our club’s Speaker program and does a wonderful job. One proud moment is her recent distribution of dictionaries in person to the 3rd graders in Salisbury Twsp Elementary. She joined AWRC to meet people, do some good, and have some fun. It seems to be working.
LUCK of the DRAW:
The door prize donated by Dottie was won by Herb. Then Chris Blechschmidt snagged a white marble and did not win the $71 pot of the 50:50.
FINES:
S-a-A Don Davis fined Jeanne for a picture in the paper, and Wendy for no pin. Later he collected a happy dollar from everyone who had a great Christmas.
HAPPY DOLLARS:
Jeanne is happy that we get more daylight going forward. And she was happy to be our Rotarian of the week.
Halyna is happy to be Tuition Payment free. Daughter, Mary, now holds an BFA in Dance.
Dottie is happy to have her grandson’s picture in the paper.
Al Lewis is happy about something that he said too softly.
Mitch Huston is happy that he traverses 12 traffic lights all green in a row on the way to the meeting.
Sue Weber is happy that Michaela taught her how to make kiffles over the weekend.
Bill Palmer is happy that the 4 over 50 Palmers beat the 4 under 25 Palmers in the 45th consecutive annual bowling match on Christmas Eve day.
PROGRAM:
Barb Kistler introduced Joe Sibilia, our special program for today. Joe has been singing professionally for 5 years. He is a Parkland HS graduate and now attends LCCC. Barb said Joe sometimes sounds like Frank Sinatra.
Joe brought his own sound system and a program of seasonal music, complete with backup vocalists. He performed Winter Wonderland and White Christmas, for example. Then he went to some Sinatra hits such as World on a String and When you are Smiling, finishing up with My Way.
Joe’s final selection was a sing-along of Auld Lang Syne to honor the moment. We sounded OK, but Joe was terrific. Thanks, Barb.
CLOSING: We rose and we recited the Pledge to the Flag of the United States and then the saying “One profits most who serves the best.”
