On Sunday December 4th about 50 Rotarians, family and guests converged at the 29 Cooks dining room in Emmaus for out annual Holiday Party. The buffet was superb with everyone smiling and going back for more.
President Dan Crane provided his own special Sangria blend to share. And many bottles of wine came with the folks to make it more festive.
Early on Dr. Bob Gordon provided us with a brief invocation thanking God and saying “Let’s eat!”
Dottie Bloom was wearing a really nice Christmassy red sweater.
It was announced that the day before was Marti our Youth Exchange student’s 17th Birthday. We sang Happy Birthday to her. And we followed with the same tune for Bob Nagle.
Wendy Weaver was ecstatic that her Penn State football team pulled off a great win against Wisconsin. Steve LaPierre owes her a drink.
Halyna and Mike Stegura were there. Halyna’s surgery on her eye last Thursday went very well.
One highlight of the afternoon was a looong presentation by Dale Hostetter giving the technology and the history of the “Yip Stick.” Dale had a sample and performed many demonstrations. Dale entertained us with stories and good humor for at least 20 minutes.
It certainly was a great party. Thanks, Dan for making it happen.
