ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Last Wednesday we did 170 Snack Packs at Parkland and had 20 volunteers fifteen of them Interact Club students.
Jan 20th and 21st our members volunteered at the Lowhill Food Pantry.
Herb read some statistics about the over 8,000 lbs. of produce purchased at bargain process from the Burkholders since June 2015.
Today at 2:15 our volunteers will pack snacks at Northwestern HS.
Our next Thursday evening meeting is tomorrow, January 28th at the Holiday Inn in Breinigsville 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
February 3rd is the AWRC Speech Contest at LCCC. Volunteers for Judging are needed. Contact Gwen Pongracz. We now have 6 competitors.
Saturday Feb 6th volunteers are needed at Lowhill Food Pantry.

Mike Henry asks for volunteers to sign up for Meals on Wheels deliveries on Monday Feb.15th.
Mike also asks folks to sign up for our February Dining Out on the 19th at Eight Oaks with catering by “29 Cooks.” and a Brass Ensemble for entertainment.
The annual EWB event will be on April 1st at DeSales University. Come and meet a real Astronaut.
Tempting Tastes 2 is set for Sunday May 15th.

ROTARIAN of the WEEK:
The AW “Rotarian of the Week” is Rev. Jeff Kistler who was ordained in 1971 in the United Church of Christ. Currently he serves as an interim Pastor.
Jeff joined AW Rotary in 2004 sponsored by Rev. Dave Mohr. Jeff has served on the Youth Services Committee, he does the Students-of-the-Month, and he coordinates the weekly invocation presenters.
Jeff is proud of supporting wife Barbara during her year as AW club President last year. He also likes doing S.O.M.
It gives Jeff great satisfaction that our club membership includes many faiths, but all truly are Rotarians.
LUCK of the DRAW:
The door prize donated by Stan was won by Dan Crane. Then Dr. Dan drew Donna’s ticket for the 60:50 but she pulled out a white marble and did not win $25. .
FINES:
S-a-A Don Davis fined Dale Hostetter for being late, and Dan for no pin. Later he fined Bill Palmer for going to the Lehigh University Christmas Vespers and making it to the video Don saw on TV.
HAPPY DOLLARS:
Herb is very happy that he and Ronnee flew out last Thursday and returned yesterday and spent time in 85 degree sunshine in St. Thomas, V.I. And while there he attended a meeting of the Sunrise Rotary club and met some fabulous people.
Al Lewis is happy that their daughter is doing well after her Trabeculectomy. (That’s to lower her eye pressure, folks.)
Al also is aware that while we had 30” of snow a few days ago, their other home town area of Saranac Lake had but 3”.
Ann from the Emmaus RC is happy to have finally gotten out of her driveway.
Sue Straeter of the Emmaus RC is happy to be with her AW friends. She claims that Herb is an inspiration to the other area 1 RC Presidents.
Gloria is happy that Don Davis was able to bring the Burkholders to us this morning.
Jeff is happy that the Burkholders were with us today.
Geoff Legg recently celebrated a birthday, so we sang Happy Birthday and it sounded OK.
Joe Goll is happy to announce that their second grandchild will be a girl and she is due in June.

Herb introduced today’s speaker, Dr. Kimberly Legg Corba to tell us about Direct Primary Care: A New Healthcare Model.
