PROGRAM:
Today was a Club Assembly with two specific reports. First was a quarterly update by Treasurer, Chris Blechschmidt. Our overall status is that we are doing well with all commitments being funded from our May 2018 Tempting Tastes fundraiser.
Chris used a series of pie charts and described how both Revenue and expenses relate for both our Operating statement and for our 501-C-3 AW Foundation. He explained that 10% of the net funds raised each year goes into a “Reserve” account. This is a cushion to cover future needs.
Then he noted that each year 5% of the Reserve funds is returned to the Operating Budget for project use.
We have separate accounts for the two Snack Packing programs. Each has some funds coming in, and each has a healthy balance for continuing the program.
Next President Jeanne distributed a list of the many committee assignments and projects being run by AW Rotarians, and showed who is doing what. After our members studied the list there were many comments for Jeanne to add duties and names.
Jeanne plans to update the list soon. There also is a plan to write a number of “Position Descriptions” for the AWRC board members and committee chairs. Additionally there will be write-ups about our individual projects and how they are operated.
CLOSING:
We closed our meeting by reciting the saying “One profits most who serves best.”
