Bio Herb Klotz, Rotary District 7430 Governor 2019-20

Herb joined Rotary in 2011 and is a member of the Allentown West Rotary Club. Herb served as Club President in 2015-16 and Club Membership Chair from 2013-15 & 2017-19. He was the District Membership Chair from 2016-18 and was involved in starting two new clubs. Herb has been actively involved with Rotary Foundation global and district grant projects at the Centennial School in Sierra Leone, Africa, where he has traveled to on four occasions. Herb is a member of the district grant committee and has been race director (2015, 16) and on the planning team (2017, 18) for the district-wide Yvette M. Palmer Purple Pinkie 5K to benefit Polio Plus.

Herb is a charter member and past president of the Engineers Without Borders – Lehigh Valley Professionals chapter which started in 2008. He is currently a member of both the Sierra Leone and Dominican Republic International project teams and has visited both locations multiple times as a member of assessment and implementation teams for water, sanitation, building and solar electrical projects.

Herb is a Chemical Engineer by training and spent his entire 34-year career at Air Products & Chemicals in Research & Development, retiring in 2014. In his last fifteen years at Air Products, Herb worked in management as a Research Director. Herb resides in Macungie, PA with his wife, Ronnee who is also a Rotarian. Ronnee and Herb have three adult daughters, Adrienne, twins Kathleen and Kim and two wonderful grandchildren, Nathan and Melody.
