Today was a face-to-face meeting where AW Rotarians had a breakfast together. We also had a Zoom meeting. There were 16 people at the Starlite Diner and we had 11 people on line that participated in the meeting remotely.
Mitch Huston handled registration and 50:50 tickets, and Happy Dollars. Ralph Witcher made sure that the P.A. system and the Zoom signals worked for us.

OPENING:
Pres. Gail Micca rang the bell at 6:30 a.m. and welcomed us all.
Ernie Boll -- via zoom -- gave a very nice invocation, with special mention of Al Lewis, Sue Weber, and Marlene Heller.
After some time to chat and eat, Pres. Gail had us recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the U.S. Then Pres. Gail led us in the recitation of the Four Way Test to which we added “Is it fun?”
AWRC HISTORY STORY:
Past President, Geoff Legg, delivered today’s story about our Rotary Foundation and the Paul Harris Society.
QUESTON OF THE WEEK:
Pres Gail discussed her latest plan to promote more knowledge of RI. Starting at next week’s meeting there will be a quiz that should get our attention. Read the Rotarian magazine.

Pres. Gail asked all veterans to stand and there was nice applause.
PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARD:
Ron Coleman received a certificate and a pin for completing two years of perfect attendance.
PARKLAN C.A.R.E.S. PANTRY:
Nov 13 is produce delivery and packing work. Volunteers are needed. Katrina Sundstrom asks all to come see what they do.
SNACK PACKING:
Kathy Ott asks for volunteers for Wednesday Nov. 17 at Parkland starting at 2:10 p.m.
FAMILY PROMISE AND PEDIATRIC CAMCER:
Gift card donations fof $25 for homeless and sick are coming along, but more are needed. Contact Kathy Ott.
MEALS ON WHEELS:
Kathy Ott and Katrina Sundstrom will deliver next Tuesday.
Meals on Wheels still can use more backup volunteers.
KINGDOM LIFE FOOD DISTRIBUTION:
The next distribution will be on November 20th. It will be busy and volunteers are needed.
VOLUNTEERS AT THE ZOO:
Volunteer Night at the LV Zoo is Thursday, December 2 from 4:30 to 10 p.m.
CASINO NIGHT AT THE WHEELS MUSEUM:
The date is January 29th. Pres. Gail said that we will do a “Wine Pull” as one event.
PIE CRIMPING CHALLENGE:
Due to a late arrival of the machine, Stephanie Fenstermacher of The Buttered Crumb, now must crimp the edges of her pies by hand. On Friday Nov. 12 there will be volunteers to do this and each will earn $15 an hour for our AW Operating fund.
ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY:

Chris Blechschmidt is very happy that the Northwestern gill’s soccer team that their daughter plays on, and the boys team each won the other day. Then each team has won last night at the state level.
Jeff Kistler happily paid $76 for his birthday 10 days ago.
Michelle Steiner is thrilled to be a member of this great club.
Nick Millward said that the bad news is that vegetables are super expensive in Mongolia now. The garden we helped with for the Homeless Shelter is helping. The good news is that two new green houses are being donated soon.
Amir Famili’s son ran the N.Y.C. Marathon in 3 hours and placed 1200th out of over 30,000 entrants.

STATUS OF MORNING MEETINGS:
The first and third Wednesday meetings in November and December will be via Zoom. The second and fourth will be in-person at the Starlite Diner.

Herb noted that he oversees Membership growth plans for the Northeast U.S. And he regularly uses our club as an example of good works.

How Do I Fulfill My Pledge as a Member of the Paul Harris Society?
By giving $1,000 each Rotary year to either or both the Annual Fund (SHARE) or PolioPlus
By giving gradually over the Rotary year. For example, making a monthly contribution of $85 would amount to $1,000 in contributions in one year, and thus would honor your Paul Harris Society giving goal.

Herb said that the PHS Coordinator, Bill Erdman of the Emmaus RC will be a speaker at AWRC in a few months.
Herb confirmed that the RI world-wide network used to administer Polio vaccinations, now is being used for covid19 vaccinations.
