NEXT MORNING MEETING:

JANUARY MEETING SITE CHANGE:
Our January 12th in-person meeting will take place at the Parkland Community Library at 4422 Walbert Ave, Allentown.
PROGRAM:
Program Chair, Ralph Witcher, introduced Kristen Walsh, Director of Development, American Heart Association.
During this presentation we learned about the American Heart Association of the Lehigh Valley . Information included:
• How mental wellbeing effects your overall heart health
• Heart Ball - Historic Hotel Bethlehem (April 9, 2022) Fundraiser.
Kristen began by noting that as we get over 55 years old things that stress us cause higher heart rates, muscular spasms and stuff that are bad for our wellbeing. She had us name things that cause stress, such as Work, Traffic, and Health problems.
She discussed ways for us to identify stress issues and you keep them controlled. One way to take a break is to visit a forest type setting and just listen to, look at and smell the calm.
She also suggested we set a goal or two to relax more and exercise regularly. Then we tell a close friend which offers more motivation to do them. She also said to take a time out, sit in the sun and stop and take some deep breaths when you are tense.
CLOSING:
Past Pres. Ralph led us in reciting our motto “One profits most who serves best.”, rang the bell and adjourned the meeting.
