Please “Like” Us!
If you are on Facebook, and you have any sense of Allentown West Rotary Club loyalty, please show it by going to our Facebook page and clicking “Like” in the top bar, right under the picture of everyone running in the Purple Pinkie race.
You can also click “Follow” for extra "brownie points."
We are in a pseudo-competition with other clubs in our district, and right now we are in the lower half of the pack, with just over 250 likes. The top of the pack is over 500! You can also invite your friends and family to like us, by sharing any of our posts to your own FB page, and asking your own followers to like us! HELP US FLOAT TO THE TOP! We know how good we are; let’s show everyone else that Allentown West Rocks!
Each of us should seek out good candidates for our Rotary Club. Ask them to breakfast or to our Thursday evening meeting.

DID YOU KNOW?
OUR MEETING PLACES
The club's first meeting place was the Shankweiler Hotel in Fogelsville. AWRC, until 1980, was a dinner club. Then in 1984 it was changed to a breakfast club to attract new members.
The club has met since then at:
The Tourist Inn in Kuhnsville
The West End Racket Club
The Holiday Inn (later the Days Inn) Rt. 309
The Paddock restaurant
The Village Inn
The Starlite Diner -- Bob Nagle remembers, “I joined Rotary in July, 1992. We met at the Starlite Diner at that time, and the roof leaked like crazy."
We moved to the Luther Crest Retirement Community starting in 1995 and as of March 2020 were there until the Covid-19 outbreak.

Are you supporting our Rotary Club?
Buying a raffle ticket in our Summer fundraiser is a good way to show your support…buying multiple raffle tickets is the best way!

There are only a few weeks left to purchase raffle tickets and take a chance on winning $1,000, $500, or $250. You can even purchase one and give a chance to win as a gift! Just visit
https://awrotaryraffle2020.ourraffle.org and choose 1, 5, 10, or 50 tickets. The winner will be announced on Zoom at our Sept. 9 meeting.
Good luck!
