SPECIAL  EDITION
DECEMBER 6, 2019

What a great party !!

About 40 Allentown West Rotarians and their spouses and friends came to the Brookside Country Club in Macungie on Friday evening, December 6, 2019. The rooms all were decorated for Christmas, including many huge really red Poinsettias.

Our Holiday Party was held in the Swan Room. On the way we went through the Lounge area where there was a Christmas tree about 12 feet high all covered with white lights.

Our President, Amir Famili, greeter us as we entered the Swan Room which was beautifully decorated for Christmas including a Tree with many lights. The club staff did a wonderful job of looking after us, starting with providing us with our adult beverages.

There were very delicious hors dourness out for us to enjoy as we mingled and talked, and sipped. Later at each place setting there were tossed salads with dressing options, and rolls and butter.

As it was at last year’s party, Seth Witcher, son of Rotarian Ralph Witcher and Pat, provided us with entertainment throughout the evening. Seth with his guitar softly sang many Christmas selections which created a lovely atmosphere all evening.

It was a great pleasure to have Sally and Jerry Frank enter the room with Sue Weber on their arm. Bill Weber is improving well now.

And, of course, our hat-wearing Rotarian, Ron Coleman, again demonstrated his creativity for Christmas. His hat was covered with small lights all ablaze.

President Amir extended Seasons Greetings to all as he officially pointed us to the buffet tables for dinner. And then P-E Ralph delivered a very nice prayer.

Dinner included Short Ribs, Ravioli, Salmon along with fried potatoes and green beans. It was all tasty and delicious. We topped  off the meal with some desert items, including chocolate mousse.

After almost three hours of food, fellowship, and fun, most of the well-fed happy group were on their way home. Our thanks go to Amir and his team for making this a delightful Holiday Party.
