PROGRAM:
The program today was a Presentation of the AWRC 2019-2020 Budget approved by the board. Gary Englehardt showed a slide listing the proposed projects and their weighted support indices. The support level ranged from a high of 4.94 to a low of 1.92. Also there are 4 projects already approved that carried over from last year.
Treasurer Chris Blechschmidt using slides described our somewhat complicated score-keeping system. We maintain 4 separate account: Operations, Foundation, Northwestern Snack Packing, and Parkland Snack Packing.
The funds available include Carryover from last year and the net from Tempting Tastes 5. Some donated funds are pre-committed for a specific use by the donors. There are carryover funds in both Snack Packing accounts, and these will be used for this RY, not new funds.
We have about $19,400 of unrestricted funds plus carryover for a total of about $25,000 to budget. The board agreed to set aside $2,000 as a cushion to be used during the year as new opportunities come in.
Chris described the list of projects that now are approved and their respective amounts. There still is about $13,000 to use, but the $9,000 annual scholarship program is not yet decided. Pres. Amir asks one of us to agree to work with Barbara Kistler to establish an appropriate plan. There were questions and answers on much of the items.
