PROGRAM:
The program today was a special Health Check discussion with Gwenn Carr and gary Englehardt as facilitators. P-E Amir began by explaining that while attending Presidents-Elect training, this review process was explained and recommended by RI. Amir is pleased that Gwenn and Gary agreed to facilitate these reviews.
Gary explained that we will be discussing the Rotary Health Check to understand any gaps we may have in our club and pat ourselves on the back for our many accomplishments. Indeed it was not painful and we had the opportunity to work with other club members to enhance our club offerings.
The Rotary Health Check is a standard list of questions used by Rotary clubs to improve the following areas:
Club Image
Membership
Club Experience
Business and Operations
Service and Socials
We began first by looking at our Club Experience. A list of characteristics of a Rotary club was distributed at each table, and a scribe was appointed to record the findings.
Questions included whether we look forward to coming to meetings; how are our club programs; we have a Greeter; we each change our seats weekly at meetings, etc.
The scribe at each table told the group their table’s opinions. Then for the not-quite satisfactory opinions each table was asked to discuss possible remedies for improvement. The scribes then explained those ideas to the group.
The results will not be described here until after the Thursday June 13th evening meeting results can be included.
The discussions went well and some good suggestions resulted. Thank Yous go to Gwenn and gary.
CLOSING:
Pres. Jeanne closed our meeting by our reciting the saying “One profits most who serves best.”
