Purchase a pack of Tribute Cards to say congratulations, I'm sorry, best wishes, happy birthday, send condolences, or just because! You fill in the reason for the card on the top lines and your name on the bottom lines, and mail it out. On the front is a beautiful photograph of a familiar farmhouse in the Lehigh Valley. Inside, recipients will see that the purchase of the card goes to fund the Foundation of our Rotary Club, and they are invited to learn more at our website. On the back is some information about Rotary and our areas of focus.

Make it your business to share your Rotary story! When you meet someone who isn't aware of all Rotary has to offer personally, professionally, and to the world, it's an opportunity. Let them know you are one of the 1.4 million people in the world who make the world better by serving the community.
Offer them the chance to join us for an activity or a meeting to learn more. If you don't ask, they won't know! Be a Rotary Ambassador!

Oct. 25, 2023

The Amazing Mets win a wild Game Six of the World Series. Also, on this day in 1415, the English army, led by Henry V, scored a decisive victory over the French at the Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years' War.

has not a friend to spare."

Meeting Notes October 25, 2023
Today's meeting was held at the Northwestern Lehigh Middle School. To accommodate the school's schedule, the meeting began at 8:30 a.m. Our exchange student, Francesco, rang the bell to open the meeting.
Ernie Boll gave the invocation.

Membership Moment:

Herb Klotz presented Nicole McGalla with her Paul Harris pin.
Gwenn announced that the Rotarian of the Month was Jean Machamer (below). Jean works with the Interact students and has worked hard to put together the Students of the Month and today's presentation, with the staff, students, and our club.
Students of the Month
Danielle Dengler and Claire Krivenko, our Students of the Month, were presented with their certificates.
The students made a presentation of $300 to Herb Klotz, as the International Chair.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, will be a special meeting. DG Diane will be attending, and we will have special recognition of our members who work on food insecurity projects. It's the day before Thanksgiving, so please plan to spend your morning with us before you travel or begin your Thanksgiving preparations. This is our day to give thanks for our District Governor and for all of you who are serving the hungry in the Lehigh Valley.
The member celebrations for October are listed below.
The NWL Snack Packing will take place Wednesday, November 15, starting at 2:00. Each month will be the 3rd Wednesday from 2-2:35.
The next Snack Packing event at Parkland will be November 16. If you would like to help, email Diana Dunn at
Much help is still needed. There are many more people looking for food than before the pandemic, and the setup work takes many hands. Please come out if you can help.
The upcoming dates for Kingdom Life Food Pantry Giveaway are:
                   Nov. 11            Dec. 9            Jan. 13
The Pantry holds its food distributions on the first Saturday of each month for all of 2023.  Three volunteers are needed each time. Food collections for Parkland C.A.R.E.S. are held the third Wednesday of each month at the Pantry on Kernsville Road.
Meal delivery by AW Rotarians takes place twice each week. Helen Papathanasiou always needs substitute volunteers.
The next in-person meeting is November 8. Vicky Kistler, of the Allentown Community and Economic Development Department, will be our special guest.
